Catalytic ovens are fitted with catalytic liners within the oven cavity. The liners are treated with chemicals to enhance their ability to absorb grease and soften food debris. The catalytic cleaning function works anytime the oven is heated to 200 degrees Celsius and above.

If you rarely use your oven above 200 degrees, we recommend that you heat it once or twice a month to temperatures above 220 degrees Celsius. The heating facilitates cleaning and also ensures that the catalytic liners remain in pristine condition.

A cleaning cycle usually lasts about thirty minutes. After that, all you need to do is to wipe off the loosened grease and food particles using soapy water. The catalytic liners don't require any cleaning and can even last to the lifetime of the oven if well maintained.

Pyrolytic

The pyrolytic cleaning function is the most effective oven self-cleaning program. The cleaning function works when the oven is heated to temperatures of 400 degrees Celsius and above. At these extreme temperatures, all food residues and grease are carbonised for you to wipe away easily.

As these ovens have automatic door locks, you don't need to worry about high temperatures causing accidental burns.

The oven only unlocks once it has cooled to safe temperatures. The cleaning function runs for about 4 hours. Hence, you can turn on the function late at night and leave it to clean overnight.
